Great article in the Arizona Republic today worth sharing!  Take a look. Auction chief says it was altered Arizona Diamondbacks' owner Ken Kendrick holds up his 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card, which he purchased in 2007 for $2.8 million.   Ken Kendrick, owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks, says his 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card, one of the rarest pieces of sports memorabilia in the world, hasn’t lost its multimillion-dollar value despite an admission in court that the card had been altered before Kendrick’s 2007 purchase. Former Illinois-based auction-house owner Bill Mastro admitted in federal court Tuesday in Chicago that he made cuts to the border of the card decades ago. For all you baseball fans out there gearing up for the start of a new season, here is a celebrity photograph from my collection you'll appreciate.   For those of you that don't recognize the photo, William "Buck" Showalter is an major league baseball manager for the Baltimore Orioles.  Showalter previously served in a similar capacity for the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers.  He was formerly a professional baseball player himself and a television analyst for ESPN.   A two-timeAmerican Leage Manager of the Year, Showalter Showalter has earned a reputation for building baseball teams into postseason contenders in short periods of time.   He helped the Yankees rise from the bottom half of the AL East to first place before a player's strike prematurely ended the 1994 campaign.  Under his watch, my favorite team the Arizona Diamondbacks made their first-ever playoff appearance in only its second year of existence....

 Here is another autographed photo from my collection! Edward "Eddie" McKay Cheever, Jr. is an American racing driver who raced for almost thirty years in Formula One, Sports cars, CART and the Indy Racing League. Cheever participated in 143 World Championship Formula One races and started 132, more than any other American, driving for nine different teams from 1978 through 1989. In 1997, he formed his own IRL team and won the 1998 Indianapolis 500 as both owner and driver. The team now competes in sports cars. Since the Grammy awards were on the other night I thought it would be fun to post a picture of the Grammy award winning artist that I met!  Here is the amazing Gladys Knight and I!   Gladys Knight , known as the "Empress of Soul", is a singer-songwriter, actress, businesswoman, humanitarian, and author. She is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s and 1970s, for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels, with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips.  Knight has won a total of seven Grammy awards (four as a solo artist, and three with The Pips)! Here is a picture of Kevin Sorbo and I.  I really enjoyed meeting Kevin, he was such a nice guy! Kevin David Sorbo is an best known for the roles of Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys , Captain Dylan Hunt in Adromeda and Kull in Kull the Conqueror.    Sorbo attended Yale University, where he studied Electrical Engineering. In order to make tuition, he began to work as a model for print and television advertising in the 1980s.
