Autograph Hell

I had the pleasure of meeting Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, AKA "Mr. Cub" and getting his autograph.  It was something I will never forget. RIP Ernie Banks Ernie Banks' family has announced that the Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer died after suffering a heart attack. Banks, a two-time National League MVP who spent his entire major league career with the Cubs, died Friday at age 83. "Let's play two!" the late Ernie Banks was fond of saying. Ernie Banks died Friday at age 83, Michael Wilbon writes . The cause of his death was not announced until Sunday, when family attorney Mark Bogen revealed at a news conference that Banks died from the heart attack just seven days before his 84th birthday. Banks' wife, Liz Banks, also was in attendance. "It is certainly a sad day f...

Our family had gone on a car trip, in our ’50s green Chevrolet, all the way to Deer River to visit an old friend. And my parents had bought me my very own autograph book at a shop in nearby Grand Rapids. That was 55 years back in time, but the memory is clear still, coming back to me upon finding the treasure among my souvenirs. How well I remember asking friends and relatives if they would sign my book. It went with me every day on the ...

Report: LeBron James Autographed High School Jersey on Sale for $50K By Dan Carson , Featured Columnist For the low, introductory price of $50,000, you can own what's alleged to be an authentic LeBron James St. Vincent-St. Mary High School jersey.
